Frequently Asked Questions

  • Nutritional Therapy is a complementary therapy and does not replace the medical care you receive from your primary care practitioner(s). Whilst all the recommendations your Nutritional Therapy Practitioner makes are carefully researched and evidence-based, the contact details of your GP will always be required just in case the need arises for collaborative working to generate the correct and optimal diet & lifestyle programme for you.

  • Yes please.

Prior to your Initial 1:2:1 Consultation you will be sent a link to your encrypted online Portal which hosts your pre-Consultation documents. These are required to be completed at least 72hours before your Initial 1:2:1 Consultation, since this enables your Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner to conduct thorough, evidence-based and personalised research prior to meeting you. If your paperwork is not submitted a minimum of 72 hours in advance of your Initial Consultation, rescheduling will be offered.

Providing Eat Drink Think Nutrition® with your GP contact details is also compulsory. Failure to action this will result in the cancellation of your Nutritional Therapy Programme.

  • Nutritional Therapy will likely involve some dietary give-and-take however lifestyle recommendations are also made. Nutritional Therapy is highly collaborative and ultimately depends on what is appropriate and achievable for you as an individual.

  • A food first approach is preferred and highly desirable, however since Nutritional Therapy is personalised dietary supplements may - and will only - be recommended for specific, targeted and bespoke reasons which will always be explained and discussed during your Consultation.

  • Yes, tests can be recommended as part of your post-Consultation actions.

Functional Medicine Tests for allergies, energy-regulation processes, genetic polymorphisms, gut microbiome status, hormone imbalances, skin complaints, and vitamin/mineral status’ can be recommended by Eat Drink Think Nutrition® Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (mBANT, rCNHC) to identify what and where diet and lifestyle interventions can most usefully be made.

Functional Medicine Tests typically require blood, breath, saliva, stool or urine samples, and whilst some tests are obtainable from your GP others can be ordered from specialist Functional Testing Laboratories, (the latter incurs additional cost). Your Nutritional Therapist can then interpret your results and recommend the most appropriate course of action.

  • There is no paperwork associated with Pantry Purifications. This service takes place in your own home and your presence throughout is compulsory to ensure any changes made are user-friendly for your future use, and to allow your Registered Nutritionist to explain why changes are being made.

A Discover’email and payment are required beforehand, and there will be no paperwork afterwards unless specifically requested, (which may incur a small fee).

  • It is not standard practice for Eat Drink Think Nutrition® Limited to include food or drink in its Corporate Presentations, (unless the presentation is being held at a venue with onsite catering facilities and these are specifically requested at your and the venue’s discretion and responsibility).

Please enquire for specific details on Corporate Presentation packages.
